What Is the First Responder Platform?

The First Responder platform is a secure, AI-powered system that gives authorised emergency personnel immediate access to a patient’s vital medical information, even if the patient is unconscious or unable to communicate.

Using facial recognition technology, the platform identifies patients and retrieves pre-stored medical details; such as allergies, chronic conditions, medications, and emergency contacts. This enables you to make informed, life-saving decisions on the spot.

Why Register as a First Responder?

In the field, time and information save lives. Unfortunately, responders are often left guessing when patients can’t speak for themselves. By joining this platform, you’ll be equipped with:

Who Can Register?

This platform is strictly for certified healthcare professionals working in emergency and frontline services, including:

• Paramedics

   

• Emergency Care Assistants

   

• Firefighters

   

• Nurses and Doctors involved in trauma or first response

   

• Volunteers registered with accredited emergency services

   

You’ll need a valid HPCSA registration or equivalent documentation to complete your registration.

Registration Process: Step by Step

Here’s how to join the platform and get set up:

Step 1: Complete the Registration Form
Please fill in the online form with your full details, including:

• Full Name and Surname

   

• South African ID Number

   

• Occupation (e.g. Paramedic, Firefighter)

   

• Employer / Organisation

   

• Worksite or Base – City and Province

   

• HPCSA Certificate Number

   

• Mobile Number

   

• Email Address

   

Step 2: Upload Required Documents
To verify your identity and professional status, please upload:

• A clear photo of your ID document (front side only)

   

• A copy of your HPCSA registration certificate (PDF or image)

   

Step 3: Email Confirmation & Manual Verification

Once submitted, you’ll receive an email confirming that your information was received. Our team will then manually verify your details and follow up with final instructions.

Step 4: Complete Your Profile
Once verified, you’ll be able to log in and complete any missing details, such as worksite specifics, additional certifications, or profile photo.

Step 5: Training Module (Recommended)
We encourage all new responders to complete a short training module that explains how to use the system in the field, including how to scan patients and view their profiles.

Our Mission

We aim to register at least 80% of South Africa’s certified paramedics and healthcare technicians under the HPCSA. Together, we’re building a national network of trusted responders who are empowered to deliver faster, more informed emergency care with the help of technology.
